Some people go out to celebrate New Year's Eve -others stay home and babysit. Tonight my husband Frank and I are babysitting my daughters dog, Atticus.  He is not into hats and beads!!!  What a love muffin he is. Happy New Years to all our friends and family.

Happy New Years!!!

I'm back

Ernest and Stella Bakos
Here are two of the reasons that I have been out of touch. For the past three years I have been volunteering at the Blount County Animal Center in Maryville TN.  I have been blessed to have part of an amazing team of volunteers that have rescued thousands of cats and dogs.  I found out that when you foster some of these homeless pets you fall in love.  Above you see Ernest on the left and Stella, the baby.   These two have joined my ten year old cocker spaniel named Arwen and are now a part of the Bakos family.   They have brought so much joy to our lives.  I have taken a break from the shelter and have found myself back in my studio making more quilts. I will be showing you some of my work as I relearn how to blog again. Please be patient with me. I'm so happy to be back!!!

Endless Summer

I saw this quilt in the window at the Cherry Pit Quilt Shop in Sevierville, Tennessee. I knew that I had to make it. I love the beautiful blue batiks against the striking white on white fabric. This quilt was accepted into the AQS Quilt Show in October 2008 in Des Moines, Iowa. I pieced and Debbie McMurray quilted her.
