Diamond Feathers Nine Detail
Diamond Feathers Nine is made from reproduction Civil War fabrics and is a variation of a 9 patch pattern. It was machine pieced by Darlene Bakos of Maryville, Tennessee and longarm machine quilted by Debbie McMurray of Alcoa, Tennessee.
It is heavily quilted with feathers and an intricate diamond shape in the 9 patch blocks. Hence the name...Diamond Feathers Nine.
This quilt won 3rd Place in the 2 Person Quilt
Category in the Smoky Mountain Quilters Show
and Competition - May, 2007, Knoxville, Tn.
It was recently accepted as a finalist in the AQS Quilt Show and Competition in Nashville,
Tennessee. Award winners will be notified prior to August 22, 2007.
