Commission Quilts - by Darlene Bakos
Gingersnap Quilts by Darlene Bakos are traditional, custom quilts. I would welcome the opportunity to work with you on creating a custom quilt to your choice of colors and design. Whether you would like a small wall hanging or a quilt to cover your bed, I can assist you with your project.
I had the privilege of creating a private collection for the prestigous Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tennessee. The eight quilts labeled "The Blackberry Farm Quilt Collection," can be seen in my blog.
I also completed a commission for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). This included three sister quilts that documented the 75-year history of the TVA via photos. One of these quilts goes on display at the American Quilters Society Museum in Paducah, Kentucky in mid-September.

This is a beautiful red and white traditional quilt, and it inspires me to work on one that uses both the hole in the barn door quilt block and the shoo fly block if I can get the setting design right. Thanks for putting this one up on your blog, and nice job! ~Marilyn H.
