Debbie and I had the pleasure of finishing this Bowtie Quilt for Connie Smith of Maryville, TN. As quilters we sometimes have an opportunity to use our gifts to do something kind for someone else.

Trip To Trinidad at the Park
Trip to Trindad Border Detail
Trip To Trinidad features a free form border treatment. Debbie McMurray of Creative Quilts designed a wavy fern design to highlight the 10 inch borders.
Trip to Trinidad was delievered today to SC.
"The quilt just arrived and it is gorgeous! My staff is oohing and aahing.I will treasure it and I'm sure it will become a family heirloom."
Trip to Trinidad in the Park
Trip to Trinidad is a beautiful king size quilt made from hand dyed fabrics in 15 rich jewel tones. The pattern is a variation of Trip Around the World. This quilt contain 1599 squares with a 10" border.
The beautiful machine quilting was done by Debbie McMurray from Creative Quilts. Debbie used variegated threads on her Gammill longarm quilting machine. Deb is truly an artist and master of free form quilting as you can see in this picture.

Diamond Feathers Nine Detail
Diamond Feathers Nine is made from reproduction Civil War fabrics and is a variation of a 9 patch pattern. It was machine pieced by Darlene Bakos of Maryville, Tennessee and longarm machine quilted by Debbie McMurray of Alcoa, Tennessee.
It is heavily quilted with feathers and an intricate diamond shape in the 9 patch blocks. Hence the name...Diamond Feathers Nine.
This quilt won 3rd Place in the 2 Person Quilt
Category in the Smoky Mountain Quilters Show
and Competition - May, 2007, Knoxville, Tn.
It was recently accepted as a finalist in the AQS Quilt Show and Competition in Nashville,
Tennessee. Award winners will be notified prior to August 22, 2007.
